2018 Genetic Counseling Internship Opportunity

The Genetic Counseling Program is pleased to invite applications for a six-week summer internship.
The selected intern will assist Genetic Counselor faculty with case preparation, educational and administrative projects with the opportunity to observe prenatal and cancer genetic counseling sessions. Designed to promote understanding of the Genetic Counseling Profession, the internship is excellent preparation for graduate education in genetic counseling. A stipend will be provided.

Applicants should submit a cover letter expressing their interest and future education plans, a current resume/ curriculum vitae, their most recent undergraduate transcript and two letters of recommendation.

The Program will review applications for the Genetic Counseling Internship, interview selected candidates by telephone and award the internship by April 1. Special consideration will be given to South Carolina natives, especially those of backgrounds underrepresented in the profession.
