We serve families affected by this complex and challenging condition by tailoring each clinic visit to meet the needs of the individual, which may include:

  • Neurology Consultation
  • Genetic Counseling
  • Genetic testing for Huntington Disease
  • Pre-symptomatic evaluation and testing for at-risk family members

In addition to our clinical services, we offer assessments and referrals for counseling, psychiatric services, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Appointments for HD Clinic are scheduled on Fridays and can be made by calling USC Genetic Counseling at 803-545-5775.

Great News!
The USC Department of Neurology now offers Enroll-HD to the families affected by Huntington’s disease (HD), a research initiative supported by CHDI Foundation. Enroll-HD is a worldwide observational study for Huntington’s disease families that monitors how the disease appears and changes over time in different people – this study is not testing any new drugs but, if participants are interested, they can learn more about such opportunities through Enroll-HD. Enroll-HD is open to anyone in an HD family, whether they are manifest, pre-manifest, or at-risk – even non-blood relatives such as spouses who are not at risk can join the study. Participation involves annual visits to perform various assessments which characterize the progression of Huntington’s disease, providing essential information for researchers to develop clinical trials to test new drugs.

If you would like more information on Enroll-HD, please contact the Research Coordinator for the Primary Investigator, Dr. Miroslav Cuturic, at 803-545-6104 or Janice Edwards, Genetic Counselor, at 803-545-5706.
